In one of the scanning modes the device generates stimulating pulses of minimum amplitude and is waiting until the electrode contacts the skin. Once the skin contact is detected, the device beeps and begins to increase gradually the amplitude of the stimulating pulses. The current amplitude value, current reaction value and the reaction curve of amplitude value (the diagram) are displayed on the screen.

Generation of stimulating pulses of increasing amplitude is stopped either when the maximum amplitude is achieved or when “+” or “-” button is pressed on the device or on the remote control. The device can save up to 128 values of stimulating pulse amplitude at which the stimulation was stopped.
You may also ask a patient to press the button when new sensations appear under the electrode or in any other part of the body and use these data to search for asymmetry signs using the threshold of sensitivity.
